The Agriturismo

The Antica Grancia di Quercecchio is an ancient convent that dates to the 1400s.  Until the late 1700s it was owned by Olivetan Benedictine monks.

This cozy Tuscan agriturismo is owned and run by the Salvioni family, and each member is always ready to help guests with information and advice on how to best enjoy Montalcino and the many other highlights of the area.

Recently renovated, the old convent now houses eight apartments, each one furnished with care and every modern comfort.

The agriturismo is just 10 km from the centre of Montalcino and is part of the Quercecchio estate which makes such renowned wines as Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino grappa made from our own wines.  We also make our own extra-virgin olive oil.

The agriturismo is located in a tranquil spot with stupendous views that go from Mount Amiata to the mountains that dominate the Maremma and slope down into the Ombrone River valley.

Within just a few kilometers one can explore the beauty of the hills of the Val d’Orci and the famous Creti Senesi, enjoy the world famous art cities of Siena, Montepulciano and Pienza and take the healing waters at the many spas located in Chianciano Terme, Bagni di San Filippo and the Bagni di Petriolo.

We look forward to welcoming you to our agriturismo in Tuscany, where you will find a warm and friendly family atmosphere and from which you can visit the area’s extraordinary natural beauty and the historic and cultural treasures preserved in the nearby towns and villages.
